About Me
Life asks a lot of us — sometimes more than we can make sense of alone. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
In my practice, I aim to provide that kind of space — one grounded in curiosity and openness — for children, adolescents, and adults navigating life’s many stages. I’m especially drawn to supporting people who are navigating transitions, identity questions, anxiety, and the tender complexities of early parenthood. Additionally, I have experience working with complex trauma, severe mental illness, community mental health, parent-infant dyads, and neuropsychological assessment.
My Approach to Individual Psychotherapy
My approach is psychodynamic at heart — I believe that understanding the deeper roots of our emotions and relationship patterns can open the door to lasting change. Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences and current circumstances intertwine, making sense of the themes that show up again and again in your life. My goal is to help you cultivate greater self-understanding, compassion, and a more authentic connection to yourself. I also have training in Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral therapy and integrate those techniques when appropriate, working collaboratively to find what feels most supportive to you.
As an immigrant from Brazil, I also bring a cross-cultural lens to my work. I understand how moving between cultures can shape identity and belonging, and I love supporting fellow immigrants and multicultural clients as they find their voice in new spaces. I offer therapy in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Outside of the therapy room, I spend my time chasing after my curious little son, sharing my home with three affectionate cats, baking something sweet, or getting lost in a good book.
