Standard* rates for individual psychotherapy and couple’s counseling sessions with our licensed therapists ranges from $175 – $250 per session
*Some of our licensed therapists do offer sliding scale discounts for clients experiencing financial hardship. Our licensed therapists set their own fees, so potential discounts are discussed with them directly.
Low Fee Mental Health Services
· Post-doctoral Psychological Associates: $125 per session
· Practicum Students: $75 per session
Low fee services are offered through our pre-licensed therapist training program.
Our practicum students (students who are currently participating in a masters-level or doctoral program in psychology and related mental health fields) and post-doctoral Psychological Associates (trainees who have completed their doctoral program and are accruing hours towards independent licensure) work under the supervision of licensed psychologists from our supervisory team.
Please see our Low Fee Services page for more details.
**Sliding scale discounts may also be available for clients experiencing severe financial hardship. These potential discounts are approved by our supervisory team.
Do you accept my insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider with insurance.
This means that if you are receiving individual psychotherapy and have PPO insurance (for example, Cigna PPO, Anthem PPO, or BlueCross PPO) you can request a superbill* for submission to and potential reimbursement by your insurance company.
*A superbill is a document that includes your mental health diagnoses, our provider information, and the dates of service. We provide superbills as requested on a monthly basis, free of charge.
Insurance reimbursement rates vary based on your specific insurance plan information. We’ve found that most of our clients with PPO plans are reimbursed between 50% to 70% of each session.
We do not accept MediCare.
We do not accept MediCal.
I do not have PPO insurance. What about me?
You will not be reimbursed by your insurance company.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
A “sliding scale” means that clients with financial hardship can receive discounts on our regular rates.
If you’re interested in services through California Women’s Therapy, but our rates would create a financial hardship, please contact us to discuss further. We want our services to be accessible.
