Doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Psychology at National Louis University

Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Michigan School of Psychology

B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Interpersonal Communication from Oakland University

Asia is currently accepting new clients.

My goal is to create a space where clients feel as if they can be their authentic selves without fear of judgment. I believe that the client is the expert of their own life, and I am here to help navigate challenges that may arise. I would like to acknowledge that everyone endures hardships that may feel daunting to overcome. As a therapist, I am committed to the overall wellbeing of each client.

I completed my undergraduate education from Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Interpersonal Communications. I received my master’s level education in Clinical Psychology from The Michigan School of Psychology where I received extensive training in existential humanistic therapy. I am currently continuing my education at Illinois School of Psychology at National Louis University with the goal of obtaining a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.

My clinical experience includes working with a culturally diverse population of children, adolescents, and adults with concerns regarding anxiety, self-worth, life transitions and unresolved trauma.I utilize a person-centered approach where the client is an equal partner throughout our work together. Another concept that is highly prioritized is cultural humility. It is important to acknowledge the significant role that culture plays in every aspect of our lives. Through compassion, commitment, and empathy I work to ensure each client leaves with the tools necessary to live a balanced, healthy, and happy life.

Asia is working under the primary supervision of Dr. Deepti Vaswani.
